SALIS Marine Energy Solutions

Heavy-Duty, Cold-Resilient Energy Storage for Working Waters

We build 24-volt, sodium-native power systems for ports, workboats, offshore platforms, autonomous marine assets, and other demanding maritime environments where safety, resilience, and reduced diesel dependence matter.

As sodium-ion emerges as a strategic American battery technology built on proven electrochemistry and abundant domestic materials, SALIS is focused on bringing that opportunity to working waterfronts, offshore operations, and coastal energy systems.

Naeon Alpha Module Advantages

The Naeon Alpha is SALIS's core power module — a rugged, 24-volt sodium-ion unit that works as a standalone system or scales into a full marine energy installation. One module powers a vessel. Multiple modules serve a port, platform, or offshore operation. Every unit is built to the same standard: safe, cold-resilient, and ready for the working waterfront.

Safety

Chemistry engineered for thermal stability. No oxygen release on failure, no thermal runaway pathway. Designed for engine rooms and below-deck compartments where lithium creates unacceptable risk.

Cold Performance

Roughly 70% capacity retained at 40 below zero, where lithium falls short. No heating systems, no management workarounds, no seasonal battery swaps required.

Environmental Resilience

Built for cold-weather and harsh-environment operation, including charging and deployment scenarios that challenge conventional battery systems.

Capability & Durability

Engineered for continuous house loads, high-current marine demands, and structural slamming conditions through a ruggedized internal architecture.

Supply Chain Resilience

Built without lithium, cobalt, or nickel — the materials that make lithium supply chains vulnerable. Sodium, iron, and hard carbon are among the most abundant materials on earth.

Marine-Native Design

VE.Can, Victron, and NMEA 2000 compatible. Designed for workboats, fishing vessels, autonomous platforms, remote sensing buoys, and offshore infrastructure from the ground up.

Why Sodium-Ion, Why Now

Sodium-ion is gaining momentum as a strategic battery technology because it combines proven electrochemistry, abundant materials, and compatibility with existing manufacturing infrastructure.

For maritime applications, those advantages matter in practical ways: safer operation in confined spaces, reliable cold-weather performance, and a supply chain that does not depend on lithium, cobalt, or nickel.

SALIS is developing the Naeon Alpha as the maritime implementation of that opportunity — a rugged, scalable module purpose-built for working waterfronts, offshore operations, and coastal energy systems.
